General
The operator, information multimedia communication AG, represented by the administrators in the blog, shall provide the user with a free web service within the scope of a community. The conditions of use apply to the entire community area and are accepted by each user during registration.
 
Definition
The LECTURNITY blog is based on the democratic principle of freedom of expression. The aim is to encourage the free exchange of experiences, information and ideas on topics such as LECTURNITY, rapid authoring and e-learning. Every member is free to voice their opinions. However, the encouragement of discussions revealing information describing or encouraging an illegal and/or prosecutable act according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany is prohibited. Every member is personally responsible for the content they publish and distribute in the blog (e.g. text, data, links, photos etc.).
 
Exclusion of liability and legal issues
As a basic principle, each member is asked to check contents they gain access to in the blog. The administrators are not in a position to check contents in advance, unless it is content produced by information multimedia communication AG itself. The administrators will delete or edit postings which breach the legal and press regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany or are against public policy, as long as the administrators are aware of these. As a visitor to the blog, please use the report function if you notice something offensive! Illegal intentions and obscene and troublesome behaviour or links are also not tolerated. information multimedia communication AG under no circumstances supports the encouragement/incitement of illegal activities. For example – and not exclusively – the following behaviour is prohibited:
 
Graphics and links
information multimedia communication AG expressly prohibits the communication or provision in any other way of graphics, images, texts or entire internet pages with pornographic, National Socialist, racist content or other content which is against the law of the Federal Republic of Germany or which the operator considers to be offensive to others.
 
Sedition
information multimedia communication AG expressly prohibits the distribution of content which incites hatred against sections of the population (sedition) or with which propaganda is spread for an organisation hostile to the constitution. The provision of addresses and telephone numbers to expose third parties is also prohibited. This also includes negative statements against individuals and corporate bodies if they can be clearly identified by name and location. In these cases, an alteration of the text is required.
 
Associated communication
The blog is a service used by people from many different communities. Our aim is to provide all members with an interesting, exiting and communicative place. The use of vulgar, abusive or hateful language contradicts this aim and is therefore prohibited.
 
Harassment
Harassment is contact made by one member with another to give them unwanted attention or disturb them in any other way. information multimedia communication AG will not tolerate the harassment of a member in any way. information multimedia communication AG can therefore interrupt, limit or end the membership account of any member who harasses others with immediate effect. You can, of course, have disagreements with others – we encourage lively discussions in our blog – but personal attacks and attacks which are based on race, nationality, ethnic background, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other similar differences will not be tolerated. If you have a disagreement with someone, please remain objective and do not become personal.
 
False identity
A false identity can involve the imitation of another individual or corporate body or the use of protected brand names. This includes a member passing themselves off when contributing to the blog e.g. as a member of information multimedia communication AG, a supplier, a host or using a different name. This in particular relates to the selection of user names or member profiles and dialogues.
 
Compliance with netiquette/the general rules of interpersonal communication
Breaches against the abovementioned rules are prohibited. If you witness any communication which breaches these rules, please inform an administrator.
 
Private messaging
A private message (hereinafter: PM) is direct communication between two individual users which cannot be viewed and read by other users. The publication of the contents of a PM is not permissible without the agreement of both communicating users. Conduct which breaches the rules may result in the immediate termination of membership without warning.
 
Advertising
The publication of advertising in any form (graphics, links, etc.) without prior express permission and written approval from the operators is not permitted and not allowed under any circumstances. Conduct which breaches the rules may result in the immediate termination of membership. This type of impermissible advertising will be immediately deleted. If the illegally published advertising also breaches the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, the operators reserve the right to take legal action.
 
Rights of the operator
The administrators and moderators have operator’s rights. In the event of any abovementioned breaches or in the case of other postings or users which appear to have the potential to disturb the peace of the blog or damage the image of the blog and/or other values, they are entitled to lock or delete the relevant post and/or warn or delete the relevant user. The decision about whether to intervene and the type of intervention is at the discretion of the moderator/administrator. information multimedia communication AG reserves the right to delete names and contributions which breach general rules of etiquette or the abovementioned points. information multimedia communication AG is entitled to limit and/or terminate general membership in the case of gross breaches against the abovementioned rules of conduct in particular and in the case of gross breaches against netiquette.
 
Data protection and termination of membership
information multimedia communication AG is entitled to send a newsletter and other community-related and relevant information to the email address provided by the member when registering. information multimedia communication AG is 100% committed to the data protection laws of the Federal Republic of Germany and will not pass on email addresses or data about registered users to third parties. This does not apply if a user configures their profile in such a way that their email address is visible to all other members in the profile.
 
Severability clause
Should parts or individual formulations of these conditions of use not, no longer or not completely correspond with the current legal situation, this shall not affect the content and validity of the remaining parts of the document.
